Kathleen LaBudie-Szakall has spent over 30 years researching her Polish ancestors; lectured for over 25 years on various Polish, and Ontario resources; over 25 years Officer and/or Director of the Polish Genealogical Society; Michigan. More than 15 years as Branch Officer of BGOGS; 15 years as volunteer at the Owen Sound Family History Centre and along with Jan Zaleski developed an on-line genealogy course & companion textbook, “Finding Your Polish Ancestors.”
Rick Roberts' family history addiction began during summer vacations on his grandparents' farm. Rainy days were filled by sorting through family pictures, documents and artifacts while listening to his grandmother's well-worn family stories. His hobby evolved into a business when he co-founded Global Genealogy with his wife Sandra in 1992. Their genealogy supply business launched an online store three years later, soon followed by an online magazine. Rick began publishing history, vital records, and genealogy how-to books in 1997 under the Global Heritage Press imprint, adding the MacDonald Research imprint in 2007.
